I've used mainly the Magnus blunts and the Judos but those look like they would be pretty effective

I prefer ace hexs...but have a few of these back from when they were called "tiger claws" or something like that. Cut a wicked hole on a rabbit, especially if you take a dremel or file and sharpen those wings.

But now that they are "barta blunts" I think I'll pass   "[dntthnk]"

Like the others, I prefer the Ace hex Blunts.  Also, like JC I pass on anything with "Barta's" name attached.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

The marketing turns me off too.  They were just as effective before they had the "Barta" name attached.  Besides, if the Hex heads won't kill it, I'll use a broadhead.

My son has a couple they don't hold up very well. As far as Tred Barta goes, when i watched his show one night and saw him hunting with a longbow. It made me think about the one i had when i was a kid, this is part of the reason i went trad. If he gets people into trad he can't be all that bad now can he?

It's not necesarily Tred that turns me off, but rather the marketing bull--several items have been placed in the "Barta Gear" category, as if they are new and/or improved, or just work better now that they have been re-named.

Sales pitches and hype are two major peeves with me.  You'd think he (Barta) invented the longbow after reading some of that stuff.  Actually turns me against things I might have otherwise tried.

I dont think its all bad i mean if you could put your name on some archery stuff and make money..... well i think i would do the same. plus he does put out trad archery exposure on tv which is next to none. from a business stand point i cant blame barta for wht hes doing. just my opnion....curtis

yep that tred barta is fun to watch. I like the barta bunny busters, but I have not tried the barta blunt. I also have found the magnus blunts to VERY affective
