Hey All;

Well, it's been less than a year since I bought my used Cheyenne, but I loved shooting it so much that by late November I called Mr. Morrison and ordered a new one! Bob told me it was a great time to order one and that he could probably finish it a little sooner than the usual 3 to 6 months. Boy he wasn't kidding! After about 28 days Barb e-mailed me that it was ready to ship. I couldn't be more pleased with this beauty. Cocobolo and black phenolic, with eastern diamond back skins on max 1 limbs.

specs are "B" riser and "D" limbs for a 62" bow

That's a beauty, Bob doesn't know how to build an ugly bow.  Great bow!

With some great tips and suggestions from fellow members, I bought a few dozen discounted Beman MFX Classic 500 shafts and started experimenting. I settled on 29 7/8" with a 100 brain brass insert, 125 grain tip, and a 2020 aluminum footing. Add in the weight of my crown, cresting and feathers, and I end up with 555 grain total arrow weight!

From 23 yards I think I might be on the right track.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Thanks. My 1st cheyenne is 50# @ 29" and has original wood core limbs. It shoots really well and is super quiet, especially after I started shooting woodies.
But these Max 1 limbs are amazing! Ultra smooth on the draw at my 28" length, and though they are only 3#s heavier than my old limbs, they thump the target way harder. It certainly flattened my arrow flight out.
Since I like color, my string making buddy made me a flemish twist out of 8190 to match my arrows!
Heres another few pics of the limbs with the Dall sheep tips.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward.So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

That is a very nice looking bow and terrific shooting! Threads and pictures like yours sent me lurking around Morrison camps!

After trading for a Mini (wood) ILF Morrison with WW limbs from Barry at LeftiesRus I ordered Max 1 limbs yesterday. I ordered mediums which will make my bow a 56". The max weight will be 50-52 pounds at 26#.

The WW limbs on the bow I traded for are actually very impressive. They knocked every bow I own out of the top "performance" spot!  I've never shot the WW limbs before (carbon and foam). I was very impressed.  It sure was tough finding a string in my pile for a 57" recurve though! All my bows are 56, 58, 60, and 62".

Bob tells me I might not notice any extra umph but I will notice a smoother draw.

I'm waiting for a set of MAX I limbs.  My wife has them on her DAS riser....really the best shooting limbs I've had in my hands.
