got my new axis shafts shooting really well. i changed from goldtips cause for some reason i had all sorts of trouble trying to tune them.

i'm planning on having 2 setups with the axis.
both the same in every way except the combo at the front. both will have a point and insert total of 350gr upfront. both have a 2 1/2" footing of 2020.

my main combo is a 125gr head on a 125gr adapter and 100gr insert. my other combo is the 225gr tuffhead on a 75gr adapter and 50gr insert.

my question is, should these shoot the same with the same length shaft? consider that my footing extends a little past the longer 100gr insert so the portion of flexible shaft is the same for both setups.

I've found the Axis shafts, black, camo, and FMJ, very easy to tune. While never using your amount of point weight, my 175-200 has no noticeable effects on flight with the same arrow.

I assume your using heavier spines like a 340, or even a 300 with your set up. A few grains heavier or lighter won't have any effect, and you won't see much flexing at those spines either, especially at the tip.

If your getting good flight from one, then the other should fly just as well.

My bet is they'll be so close you won't know the difference.  About the only thing that might make them fly a little differently is air resistance on different shaped broadheads, but again,I don't think it will be enough to notice.  Let us know what you find out.

i'm using 400's out of a 57#@28" recurve.
i draw 26".
they are flying pretty good at the moment.
everyone seems to think i should be shooting stiffer shafts but i'm not so sure.
