As requested fella's some photo's of some my homemade gear . Selfbows specs Meare Heath inspired bow - made boxing day 1999 of Brigalow [ a type of acacia ] 63 " ntn 58# @ 27" , favourite bow must have shot 45000 arrows and has taken only 1/2 " stringfollow since first brace bracing
Longbow is a snakey piece of brigalow 74" ntn 40# @ 27" very fast for its draw weight and is current 3d bow
Closeup of the backing on bows - I bought some material called flannelette for $3.99 a metre in 99 and glued it on the flatbow with a waterproof PVA called bondcrete which gave it a natural snakeskin like texture for camo as brigalow has a creamy yellow sapwood and dark brown heartwood .The longbows backing was glued on with an epoxy resin as I wanted a smooth shiny finish as its a target bow .
The belt quiver and accesories are made from Kangaroo leather and feature a Masterdon atlatl hunt scene , some english archers and an unfortunate Gekko called Harold .regards Perry

I like what I see! Sill looking for Harold, though. I found Waldo...

Artwork would be more fitting than craftwork IMO.

Bodork

Nice work! I hope my wife doesn't see the clever way you disguised your 3-d target into a fancy lawn decoration. She'll want me to do the same thing!

BamBooBender

Wow! Excellent work there! VM13 is right on the money, that is more like artwork than craftwork.    :notworthy:

On a side note; I'm not gonna post any pics of the junk I've been making, cause somebody keeps coming along and raising the bar.     :banghead:     ;)
