Anyone missing a Robertson Fusion longbow?

I posted my Fatal Styk online and checked other Robertson Stykbow listings and saw one that seemed odd.

It is a Robertson Stykbow Fusion longbow...beaufiul bow with following inscriptions:

for
Forrest Boone
Genesis 49.24

It is 62" bow and 62#@29"

What made it seem strange is the listing is by a surplus store (JMAYSURPLUS)

Not usually someplace a person takes a very fine bow of this caliber to sell it....surplus stores and pawnshops I dont usually see this quality of bow unless stolen.  So just wanted to put it up here in case that is what happened and anyone knows the original owner.

Did not know which section this would fit so move as needed.

Listing:  120822571303

Seems to me that either the owner was downright desperate, or the thief is downright stupid.

yeah maybe the owner was just desperate for money....if it was in my area I would try to contact the original owner to see if he sold it or not.
the same thread got pulled completely on another forum so hopefully it was sold legally albeit hastily for prices you get at those places.

Could also be a family member selling a bow for a sick or deceased dad/son... a family member who doesn't know the traditional scene well enough to know how best to sell a bow.

of course...just figured I would be safe rather than sorry as I would want someone to tell me if they saw an expensive bow with my name on it in pawn shop or army surplus.

if everything thinks it is nothing to worry about I will delete the thread.

I wouldn't delete it, Ron.  It was worth posting, you may be doing someone a big favor.

There are several potential reasons that the bow has ended up where it is today... but the possibility of it being a stolen & hawked bow is certainly plausible.

Why don't you just send Dick Robertson a quick email? I'm sure they have the guys contact info.

Forest hangs out on the other site the LW. He`s a good fella. You should post this over there.

David Mitchell

He did RC and it got pulled...???  Can't figure why.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

Kevin Dill

That bow has been on the auction site for many, many weeks I believe.

Brock

RC,

There is another Forrest on there but the one I see has different last name...IF you know his handle send him a PM and I will delete the post here if unfounded.

I posted it there and it was CLOSED by moderators.  Exact same post I made here.

Like Kevin said, that bow has been on there for a looooong time, close to a year. It'll prolly stay there for that price.

Seems the original owner was looking for that bow...it was lost in shipping.  Glad I posted it even if some here thought it a waste of time...

Thanks Michael for forwarding...I know I would want to be asked if it was mine....even if it was not missing...just to make sure.
