How many use one and which brand do you use?

I definitely use them, if it's not a downpour. This is what I use.

I have one I use on a rare occasion . I have also used it in front of me on the ground as cover. Don't remember the brand.

I used to use them regularly...now when it rains, for fear of losing a blood trail, I usually exit the woods.

I've also noticed from other's that deer seem to notice them more in our area than in the past...and not seem to mind a man in a stand, but get hinky if there is the umbrella up...

Most will have some motion to the material if it's breezy..maybe that's the issue?

I used a Magnum Porta Roof... there were 2 attachment styles...one had a screw in piece to mount the umbrella and the other a strap around the tree... legally, we need to use the strap type in PA on public land, but....

I use one. I carry it all the time when there is a chance of rain.

I use one. Really helps keep yourself and gear dry on light rain days. Most don't work well at all on windy days.

I thought they were another gimmick until I tried one. It was the best $15 I ever spent. If it is only supposed to be raining in the early morning I will set up in the rain to be ready when the rain stops.

On one November whitetail hunt, one of those all-day wet snow storms hit as I got in my treestand. MY umbrella was attached to the tree quickly and I enjoyed a full day of hunting...and stayed dry.  For $15, what a bargain!

Do most of you still wear your raingear even with the umbrella?

tree umbrella?  never used one, but might consider it.

What about the rain noise (pit-a-pat)(if THAT'S rain noise!)on the "roof"?

The sound of the rain hitting the umbrella is no different than the sound of it hitting the leaves below.  I've used them before and never had an issue with deer hearing or seeing it.

i just bought one yesterday.  After sitting in the rain several days, waiting on the bucks to move when it stops, i figured that it would be money well spent.

I made my own.  Just cut 2- 4" pieces of conduit and braze a 1/4"X3" lag bolt to the side to make a "T".  When it rains, screw the tubes into the tree ,I grab 2 sticks off the ground and stick them in the conduit.  Throw a poncho or camo tarp over it and you have protection.  The camo tarp I use packs smaller and lighter than the umbrella that attaches to the tree. The camo tarp doubles as something to put under the deer to keep the blood off of the truck bed.  Pack some parachute cord and it will work over a ground blind. Dick

I use mine whenever there is a light rain that won't wash a blood trail, or there is a chance it'll stop. Bucky, I usually keep my Dryplus pants on and leave my rain top off. I've never noticed the deer minding during the early season if there is still leaves on the tree, I haven't really used mine during the later part of the season. I say give one a try, they aren't that much and I'm pretty sure you'll like it.

Be sure to set it up high enough to give you bow clearance when it is time for a shot.  Don't ask me how I know...

Remember heavy rain will eliminate the blood trail. Shoot straight.

I have a friend who put one up and liked it so much he just left it in the tree. Well . . . .by the following season, the sun had bleached it and the wind had torn it . .

A white flapping Hunk-O-Nylon may not be the best hunting partner.

Lesson Learned:  Just don't leave it up all year!
