I shoot 175gr. so I took a 200 gr field point and ground it down to the flat and then cut a notch in it with a dremmel. This one came out exactly 175,but I guess it doesn't matter if the next ones do or not. Do you think this will get under the grass or pop up like they are supposed to do. I guess I'm not out much if it doesn't work. It just seems like the commercial heads are so expensive.

Only one way to find out.

That's not going to "pop up".  It's going to fill with dirt and then do just what a blunt normally does.

Then again, I've never had a Judo or any other head "pop up" except when carp shooting with blunts and wood shafts.
