Is there any difference between the climbing sticks made in the USA to the ones made in China ? Thanks for any input.

How would you tell the difference? I have a set but couldn't tell where they were made.

I have a set of LW climbing sticks, and I think there the best thing you can buy to climb a tree. All three sticks are 7.5lbs, and are easy to use. Make sure to buy a light stand, 15lbs or less.

I will never go back to a climber after using the LW climbing sticks.

I have a set as well.  I like them a lot.  They are light easy to pout up and sturdy. As far as where they were made I have no idea.  Maybe Whip can help us out there.

Love my set, but I have no idea where they were made.

The anodizing was a different color from what I remember.  Also, some of the hardware didn't fit as well as on the American made version.

I believe they are all made here in the US now.  At least they told me their treestands are now made here and I would assume the sticks are also.

P.S.  I have 2 sets of sticks and they are the best I have ever owned and would hate to be without them!

They are all made in the US now And the business is located in Illinois. Andrae Dquisto is not involved anymore. From what I understand they were made in China briefly after Andrae sold the company but they are back now.

After using a friends set of LW sticks to hang a stand for him....I just bought a set of Leverage Climbing sticks.  they are about 30 bucks cheaper than the LW, have steps on both sides, and stack very neatly on top of each other.  although they are a tad heavier than the LW.

they are awesome.  work great getting up into multiple trunked trees or branching trees where a straight rail can't.

I'm happy with my set of LW sticks.  They pack down neatly and attach easily to the LW alpha stand for transport.  I do wish that they had a quieter buckle system and steps on both sides.

Altman just cover everything in cloth camo tape. Works like a charm to quiet everything down. There is also I product Called Stealth strips for this purpose.

I really don't know how to tell on the sticks.  The stands made overseas had some serious fit and finish issues that were very noticeable and easy to tell from the US models.  I haven't heard much about the steps, but I'm nit saying there weren't issues with them as well.

As for the noise issue I have converted all of my LW steps and replaced the straps with 9mm climbing rope. Much quieter, and very easy to put up, and it's at least as stable if not more so than the straps.

I found the noisiest part of the buckle was how I attached the strap for carrying.. You need to twist the strap so the buckle rides on the outside of the strap not the inside..
Then with just a bit of due diligence they are silent.

I have the LW and they really are excellent quality.

I don't know if there is a difference but I have a set and I love them.

I don't know if there is a difference but I have a set and I love them.  I wrapped them in cloth camo tape to help quiet any clinking
