remember one trad member calling this rainy day arrows, and it got me very interested in learning more, do I have to cut the feather into a lower profile? do the arrows still fly straight? seems to me like a very frugal effective combo to me.

graybark uk

ive got a friend that does the same thing for shooting 3d in wet weather ,4"feather & vanes with no effect on his shooting .
i shoot cock feather in & use 3 vanes & a few arrows on rainy days with no problems ,you can get vanes in 3 4 & 5" why not get a doz of whatever lenth you shoot & give it a try ?
bowhunting isn`t a bloodsport. its in the blood
