Hi all,

I am looking at buying a fletching jig and need some advice.

I am RH and shoot recurve and longbow off the shelf. I have on order a Saluki horn bow that will shoot off the knuckle, I will be using a thumbring so the arrow will rest on the thumb knuckle on the right hand side of the bow.

What jig is going to be most suitable, or will I need different clamps?

Cheers

Right wing would be best. The lead of the feather will be farther away from your knuckle

I miss red your post.. Right side of the bow off the knuckle left would probably give you better clearance

I shoot right handed and use either straight fletch or left wing helical.

Actually I don't think it matters just use left wing feathers with a left wing jig and right wing feathers with right wing jig and either wing feathers with a straight fletch jig.

I shoot left handed off the knuckle and was taught to shoot a RW feather so the fletch will clear my hand. Make sure to wrap the fronts of your fetching to prevent the quill from digging into your hand.

Don't get an Arizona EZ Fletch!  I have one and don't like it because it doesn't put the feathers on consistently.  I am planning on getting the Jo-Jan.  Good Luck

You may want to check out the BPE Pro Fletcher.

The cock feather can be adjusted 360 degrees for good finger clearance.

Can also adjust each feather totaly.
