Who makes the go to pop up blind for trad bowhunters these days? It used to be double bull, but how are they since Primos bought them? Need one for turkeys this spring.

The primos blinds arent bad. I use one for turkey hunting. I can shoot my 62" recurve out of it with no problems

I have no trouble shooting out of my double bull dark horse...
is it September yet??

So I just looked through the threads about the Baronett blinds. They look pretty good. Biggest thing though is people say they are too high to shoot from while sitting in the 350. Is the 250 short enough to shoot from while sitting? I prefer sitting and shooting. Also would like the windows shorter for my wife, who is fairly short as is, to shoot her shotgun from.

I don't think the window height is a real problem. Sure they could be lower, but you can still shoot from a chair without any real problems. For the money you get a lot of blind in the Barronet 350. My favorite.

That seems to be a common complaint in the other thread. Maybe they all are shorter guys? I shoot a 58" bow, so I dont need a ton of room, and I have to hike this in and out upwards of a mile each time I hunt, so Im willing to sacrifice room for weight as well.

Also, do the windows only open in the V shaped pattern they show in all their pics on the website? Is the mesh on either side of that shoot through?

Here's my Grounder with the Large & Small Huntmore 360s in front.
The new blinds, like mine, have lower windows.

Is that the 250 or 350?

Here's a 350 set up, Do the windows look to high?

If so like said dig down just a little bit on the front corners and you can adjust it to fit your needs. This blind has been used for 3 years now and no color fadeing, rips tears or broken anything. We put them out in September and take them down in January. then back up for a couple months of turkey season. I paid $95 for this one and can camp in it when needed.      :D

A couple views from a few of ours, we have 5 of them.

Photobucket is messing up or I could show you a bunch of picks with critters in front of the blinds so you can see for yourself. Like Charlie said, Alot of blind for your money and we have used a bunch over the years including double bulls.

You really haven't hunted the old fashion way until you've done it from one of these Indian houses.(The Tipi) "Glenn ST. Charles"

Check out Hidden Hunter blinds. I love mine.

Mine is the older digital camo. I really like the looks of the new predator camo ones. Ron LeClair shoots his Shrew Hill from his.

I have a grounder 350 and I hunted out of it the other day with a fellow tradganger and we had plenty of room. Best blind for the money if you ask me. I shoot my 62" turkey creek out of it all the time.

hunt4life

Awesome. Thanks for the pics and advice. Lookes like I'll be going with the 350.

bringing this back up. Getting ready to order the Grounder 350 and wondering where a good place to order from is?  Any site sponsors?

My buddy bought a Rino blind. It's not the original double bull but I like the way it's made. You might give them a look, we will be testing it out for turkeys this week for the first time

I saw where Browning had some new tall (82") blinds that look nice.  Should be decent quality, but don't know if any sponsors have them.  Just something else to chew on.

My vote goes to the DB Dark Horse a lot of turkeys have met there demise out of mine   ;)  FWIW I shoot 60" bows out of mine with no problems what so ever.

I have a Double Bull Darkhorse and 2 original DB Matrix blinds.  All have worked great for me in all conditions.  I have hunted out of other and most will do ok.  Some are just crap.  I saty away from velcro for the most part.
