Just picked up my new Morrison ILF Phoenix, 17 inch riser (metal) with carbon foam limbs from Bob.  This is a real stealthy looking bow and can be viewed on his website.

I was only able to shoot it just a few times while in his office, however I was very impressed with how smooth and fast it is.  I was especially concerned about the quietness since I have heard that ILF rigs and metal tend to be noisy...not so with this bow.

Tomorrow afternoon I should be able to put a few more arrows through it and formulate a better opinion, but I think it is going to be a real shooter.

I also want to mention what good folks Bob and Barb are and want to thank them for all the help and patience that they have shown me...thanks Bob and Barb

I've got my eye on Bobs new Phoenix too. I love my Gen 3 and hope to pick up one of his new risers and I agree, hard to beat Bob and Barb, fine pair. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on that riser after you shoot her a bit more.

Looking forward to hearing more about it!!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Going to shoot it this afternoon, tune it a bit and the brain, and head out to Illinois tomorrow afternoon for a week of chasing the big ones.  Hope to have some pictures with it and a harvest.

Rick:  Hope you got the new MAX 1 limbs, his original ILF R.C. limbs wer very good, the MAX 1 even better.  RW

Yes, I got the MAX 1 limbs too with the new riser.

Rick.... I'm sure you will absolutly love your new bow.  I've got a Morrison 19" Phoenix with some med TT glass/wood limbs on it.  It's a great shooter and really quiet too.  I have fallen in love with the Jager low grip. I'm shooting mine off the shelf with velcro and a mini-plunger and have to say that this Phoenix has been one of the easiest to tune trad bows that I have owned.

Bob is a great fella to deal with, and his equipment is as good as it gets too!

Reaper TN....I have mine stup much like yours with the low Jager grip, mini-plunger and also shooting off the shelf.  The only difference is I have Bob's MAX 1 limbs.

I was going to shoot it last night and do some fine tuning, however it is still raining here in Columbus Ohio. So, I will have to play with it when I get to Illinois tomorrow between hunts.

Hope to be able to hunt with it some next week and who knows...I might be able to post a picture...keeping fingers crossed.

Rick Richard

Played with it some today and all I can say is WHAT A SHOOTER!

This thing will zip an arrow loaded upfront with a 250 grain field tip and shoots were I am looking. Quiet too. And I am only pulling 42 lbs at my 26 inch draw...amazing.

Now that I have it tuned I will be carrying it this week in hopes of filling an Illinois tag with a bruiser that I know is running on the property.

I have a 15" riser that I just fitted with short Dryad Epic limbs tonight.  I thought I had my setup figured out already, but I may have to reconsider after shooting that rig!

I think that Bob's MAX I limbs are by far the best shooting limbs in ILF that I have had the pleasure of shooting made in the USA. VERY quiet, stable and fast as fast can be.
The best things in life....aren't things!
