I have been shooting instinctive for about 7 months since changing over to trad gear. While I have shot pretty good at times, I am not happy with my consistency. The last couple of weeks in particular have been frustrating. I am considering giving gap shooting a try to see how it works for me but have not tried it before. I understand the concept of "gapping" but was wondering if you need to shoot vertically or can you still cant your bow and get good results? Most of the people at 3D tourneys that I have watched gap shoot, shoot vertically. Canting however feels much more natural to me.

Any advice is appreciated.

P.S. - Let's not turn this into a gap vs. instinctive thread.   :D

Thanks,

Mark

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

You can cant and gap, but you better cant the same way each time.  I shoot vertical when I gap, except with my longbows that have small windows.  I cant them just a bit to see.
