Thanks for all the compliments guys! My son Briar is 7 years old but he already is an accomplished deer hunter. He isn't big enough to hunt with his longbow but he has already taken 4 deer in the gun seasons, his first at the age of 5! We really enjoy spending time together in the outdoors. I thank God that we are blessed enough to live in the country and own our own property.

Congratulations and nice buck...I remember my brother taking a big buck when I was little in 1972 and it was 206 #'s 9 point that is now hanging in my shop...I was 9 years old then and it left an impression on me that I still remember as if it was yesterday and that's why I love to hunt deer...That pic of your son and you with your buck may be what drives him to be like you when he grows up..I know how excited I was the first time I could go out hunting with my brothers...I felt like a hunter/gatherer to be able to bring home meat for the table...With 7 kids in our family it was what fed us through winter and helped in keeping the grocery bill down for Mom and Dad...Keep making those memories with your son and thank you for sharing your photo with us!

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
