The 'Windmill' blind, as the deer see it. I killed my first ever archery deer here two weeks ago! Six yard shot.

The 'front' is made of thigh high cattle panel with fresh cut cedar limbs weaving through the panelling; stacked some other stuff in front as well.

Sits on the edge of a small field; when sitting, there are two spots to the right where deer like to pop out of thick woods and cross this field on their way to other locations.  Have seen many deer already this season but haven't had any shot opportunities yet.

From the front:

Side entrance (that's my Niff-T-Seat in the blind; last weekend, I installed some military camo mesh as a 'door flap' [not shown] because I got busted by a nice 8-pt opening weekend through that gap, but at least he helped me id another location they like to stand inside the trees and watch the field before appearing, so I visually scan that spot a lot now [of course, hoping he returns... heh]):

Nice blinds. Like seeing other trad ganger's handi work.  Think I may enjoy blind pics even more than bow or harvest photos.
Thanks

Sat this one last night.  Didn't see anything.

This is my special chosen spot for later in the season.  When the gun hunters are in the woods it pushes the deer right by here.

Another spot I've chosen underneath a ginormous oak in the middle of a plowed field.  White bucket isn't great, but it's all I have for the time being. It sits down in a natural little faux foxhole slightly less than knee deep.

Get some paint for the bucket.  A flat black rattle can will do the trick.

I have a can of flat olive green. I just want to sand the surface a little so the paint sticks a bit better. I just haven't had time yet and I needed a seat. Haha

Nice looking blinds, guys.

That is exactly what I was hoping for!  Tempting me to leave my climber at home in the morning.

Rob,
Man, you look in the wide open, but not really. Always tucked in by something. That's "high art" right there, I'd say. You've simplified the ground blind significantly.
And from another thread, it works!

Nice lookings set ups   Seems like the type of set ups I used with compound don't allow me to draw on deer without detection  set ups like these and some pine tree stands seem much better suited for traditional gear and are often overlooked by other hunters

I might go with a ghillie next year and set up in some natural ground blinds.  It's hard to get down from the treestand and give up that extra visability, but being able to get in and out more quietly has it's advantages as well.  Since I hunt public land I pack my gear in and out for each hunt.  The stand itself takes about 10 minutes to set up and can be loud if I'm not careful.
