Even though it's unseasonably warm I had to go to the woods for a sit this evening. Had the chance so, hey!

Got in my stand about 45 minutes before dark and almost immediately turned on the Thermacell. Mosquitos are still pretty hot around here.

I waited until nearly dark when this mid-sized sow came through, there were a few 60 pounders traveling with her.  She was no more than 15 yards when she presented a broadside target that I took advantage of.

I was shooting a 68" Wesley that is 59# at my draw length. The 170 grain Grizzly made short work of her. She couldn't run fast enough to prevent a copious blood trail that was what I call a "stand up" trail...

Pat, daggum - I almost made a post last night that was going to say, Pat has not killed a hog is a week or so, we should be hearing from him soon!!

Good on ya man, another nice one!  I have a question though, with all the ham, bacon, pork chops and such you go through is a year, how the heck do you stay so thin?    :dunno:

Nice hog man.
