I am seriously thinking of hunting in a ghillie suit but I wonder how easy it is to shoot with it on?  I also am looking for your recommended suit and vendor of that suit.

I'm thinking of getting the bushrag set up. The left arm for right handed shooters is trimmed off and ready to go.

I recomend making your own. just for the fact that you can make it as warm or light as you want it, the colorations, styles. It is easy to shoot with them on as long as you trim or secure the strips on the bow hand. any suit you get at the store will work fine if you make a few alterations. remove any black, add grey and dark brown for late fall and winter, more green, tan, and light burst of yellow for spring. I would also recomend to cut at the knees of any store bought suit as it will help you walking and stalking more quietly due to the lack of strings snagging on objects.

I have a Ghillie longcoat, it's great. I tried the bushrag, too loud. You have to trim up either one.

The Ghillie hat bugs the hell out of my vision.

I made a sleeve out of a soccer sock and cut it up so I can hang some of the threads out of it on the backside of my arm.  Works great.

I unzip my ghillie half way and slip my bow arm out.  Ghillie suit still keeps me hidden but when i draw it is out of my way.  I just hated to trim the sleeve as much as i would have to.  Sleeve was too baggy even trimmed unless i had an entire arm length arm guard.

I use a full length arm guard with my shaggie longcoat. No problem shooting....just need something to shot at...lol!

I cut my bow arm sleeve off at the shoulder and wear a long sleeve camo shirt. Killed a bunch of deer that way. Rancho Safari long coat.

I 2nd the cutting of the bow arm sleeve. I also wear my bino buddies to keep the chest out of the way.

Full length armguard and bino harness on my ranchi safari longcoat.. No problems. You will need to shoot with it
in and trim some if needed

I just trimmed the inside of the left sleeve.  All the way to my chest.  No biggie, the deer can't see that part anyway. I wear a normal leather arm guard.

I trimmed the hat a bit but I wear it with the chin strap / string behnd my left ear, to keep the open area front and left, where I will be looking when I shoot.  Some danglies cover some of the view on the right side and I keep it that way.

Homemade Ghillie poncho. No sleeves, netting goes down to the knee and when the material is tied in it hangs below my boot tops. No sleeve interference. I can walk and stalk with it on as well.

I have many gillie suits. They are too hot and bulky. I now use ASATcamo top bottom and face mask. Very cool light weight and disappears on ground   You will like. Dr. Mo
