According to the latest spine calculator by Stu, this is what my Dale Dye "should like", if using the GT Trad 3555's I have on hand.  Would these be too light to hunt with?  This would be with Simmons Interceptors.  FOC is showing 18.4%, if that matters.  Should I try a heavier arrow or can I get away with 8.9gpp?  I have some Cabelas 55/70s but I'm not sure if they're long enough so they may be too stiff...

Thanks in advance,
Rusty

I think those will be fine. If you want a little better penetration you can add weight to those Gold Tips in front and on the back to bring your whole arrow weight up.They have a weight system that works well. When I hunt deer I can shoot a little lighter. Moose and Elk- just beef up the same arrows and go!

Thanks guys.  It'll be pigs and deer for me this year, so it sounds like I'm good to go.  I appreciate the feedback.

Do they shoot straight?   Quiet enough?  If so,  run em'!  If they fly straight,  Im guessing they are pretty quick as well!  As far as your bow goes,  its enough weight to not be damaged.  Be accurate Keep your broadheads razor!

I guess I didn't word my original post well enough.  The last post answers one of the concerns I had, regarding the GPP.  I don't want to ruin my bow by shooting too-light an arrow.

As for Friend's reply, I wasn't sure how to search for such a specific topic.  I do typically search the forums when I know what I'm searching for.  BTW, no offense taken.

Some bowyers do not recommend shooting arrows below below 9 gpp.

To answer your above concern...that particular information should come from the bowyer and/or his published documentation.
