Friends call me Pac

I got this doe last week with a bow that I made.  My friend Caleb helped me build this laminated longbow.  Never tried that before and without Caleb's help I might still be building it today.  After it was finished I had to come up with a name and since my nickname is Pac I thought pac-a wallop was catchy.

I hunted with this bow all last season but never got the first shot.  Last week I was up in my stand on public ground.  She came by broadside at around 15 yards and was munching on acorns.  When her head went behind a tree I drew and waited for her ribs to come into view on the other side of the tree.

She went about 70 yards and I heard her fall.  My first deer with my own bow was on the ground. She is also the first deer I have shot with a wooden arrow that I have built.  What a feeling.
