Fells'
I got a bad reminder this afternoon, or maybe lucky I should say. Right now I am thanking God.

Nearly lost my 4 year old daughter this afternoon.  Someone at her daycare gave her a snack with peanuts.  She is allergic, airway was sealing off, but we got to the hospital in time.  Her lips were purple and she could barely breath, but I still have my little girl.

She is fine now after an epinephrine shot in the stomache and a mega-dose of steroids.

I'm not going to work tomorrow, taking the day off.  Her and I will shoot our bows, maybe chase a few critters.  I'll even play Barbies if she wants.

Don't wait guys, you never know.  Spend all the time you can with 'em now. Take a day off work tomorrow if you have to.

Thank goodness you got her to the hospital in time.

Goodbye Shiner you were always a good dog.

I'm glad she's ok.  If you don't have an epi-pen, get some and keep them in various convenient places.

T-Mac

epi-pen could help give you more time to get to doctor. I'd see about getting one soon!

sar & T-Mac,
We used the epi-pin and it wasn't even close to enough! There was no change in her comdition after using it. That is when we started to really hit the accelerator.  I was suprised, I thought it would help more, but it didn't.  I don't know, maybe it was the only reason we made it to the hospital at all. We will see her doctor later this week.  Maybe she needs a larger dose or something.  I've never been that scared for my kid before, but I think we did okay.  Thanks for you thoughts, it is greatly appreciated.  She is sleeping soundly now.

God bless your little girl (I'm partial cuz I have 2) and God bless our doctors and scientists for the drugs we have.  Glad to hear she is home and sleeping in her own bed.

Very happy for you all that she's okay now.  And you're a great Dad to play Barbies with her.  We might just need pics of that, though.

Huh.  epipen jr should be enough to cover a 4 year old. They're good til something like 65ish lbs.
I have a daughter exactly 4 years old also and can't even imagine going through that fear.  I'm very happy for you that things turned out well.

Glad to hear everything is good.  Enjoy your  day with her!
