Well, since I am recovering from back surgery; I can not hunt with the bow. I have been out walking though since this is part of my recovery process. I have noticed a recent increase in buck activity such as bucks moving into the area seeking the does along with some sparring. There is an isolated wood lot where many bucks hide most of the year since no one can hunt there. There has suddenly developed a cow path of a trail leading from that wood lot across my neighborhood over to where most of the other deer hang out. I have also seen several bucks making serious efforts to follow certain does around. Seems like an early rut heading our way here. Hope I recover soon. Halloween I hope.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

I hope you can get out at some point.....I always like your hunting posts
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I'm sorry you can't hunt but am glad that you are recovering. Don't despair, though. There are many skill sharpening activities you can do while getting over your surgery. By next year you show know all the details of your hunting area as well as the wiliest buck on the place.
