Looked at the weather forecast mid week and knew I had to be in a treestand this weekend. Our first real fall weather came in Friday night with temps down in the high 30's low 40's. Couldn't get out Saturday morning but made it to one of my favorite spots around 12:30 this afternoon. This guy was already out in the field along with several does.....

Day late and a dollar short, the stand I was headed for is in a pine right behind the cedar bush in the pic.
Backed out and got into my tree around 2 pm, sat till dark through light rain and sleet. Had 5 does in the field before dark but no bucks.

This is the one I'd really like to see with bow in hand.


Gotta love this time of year.
