...another victim.

Persimmon eater at 11 yards.  Hard quartering away angle.  I pulled it   "[dntthnk]"   , plus she dropped and spun away at the shot.  Caught her in the neck and she dropped in her tracks.  Killed her last Tuesday evening on the bank of Montgomery Lake, where the world record bass was caught in 1932.  This spot was on fire.  Might be able to squeeze another one from there next week.  Centaur longbow and Simmons Treeshark.

Looks like you hit her with an axe!

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

Chris you are an absolute killer.  Years ago I tried the Warren Wommack approch here in the mid-west but it seems that most of the feed trees have normally dropped and are done by the time season starts here.  But when I lived in Southern Illinois, the right persimmon was enough to keep me awake at night!  Wish we had those trees here!

critter69

Dam near decapited her! Congrats

Randy Morin

Sure does sound like a fun way to hunt.  I used to read all the Womack stuff here years ago.  Sounds very gratifying and active.  You are making me a little jealous of your approach. Finding those special trees are a trophy hunt in themselves.  Thanks for sharing and keep up the great hunt stories.

You would be surprised.  It's been really tough this year.  I've been hunting over some really good sign, without much to show for it.  Our season came in on September 8th, and so far I've made 27 hunts.  Only seen 10 deer to this point.  Just been lucky to get 3 shots, and make good on all of them.
