I'm so proud of Karen!  When we met she had never hunted and she started shooting with me.  Eventually she decided to give hunting a try and loved it!  Although last year she had a lot of learning experiences she didn't give up, she just kept on trying.  She knew that we could go get her a compound but she wouldn't hear of it!

Yesterday morning was opening day.  Around 9:15 this 1 1/2 year old doe came in on pins & needles.  She knew something wasn't right.  Our stands were only about 40 yds apart and I saw Karen start to draw but the doe took a step and turned so she eased off.  About 5 minutes later she gave her another opportunity and Karen put her arrow right where it needed to go!  I don't know how she held it together, I was a nervous wreck!

She is hooked now for sure.  Thanks Ben for the little Thunderstick Mag you sold us.  She got more than enough penetration!

Awesome! Congratulations first to Karen on her first kill and second to you for opening the door and involving her in hunting and shooting!

:clapper:   Congrats to both of you!  The yearling doe is one of my favorite deer to bag.
