Well shot my selfbow A LOT today with rivercane and obsidian point.

Resharpened the head and all is waiting in my pickup. Tomorrow is the opener here.

Hunting on the ground from a folding stool. I'm unsure if there is enough deer activity to warrant hanging a stand. They cut and disked the crops over the fence so not a lot of food for them now. We'll see.

Great morning. Saw a doe and a yearling at 0715. Saw what trail they used and where they went. Plan is coming together. I considered sitting closer to this trail. Oh well, stand is hung in the tree in the pic of my bow and quiver. It is about ten yards off the trail they used.

Good luck!! I don't like this Monday opener. Sitting in the office wishing I was out there. Might get to sneak away a bit Friday evening. Wife has plans for me next Saturday as well and the son's last baseball games Sunday.The weather is supposed to cool down a bit later in the week!
