Congratulations!  Those are really great pictures!  Too bad about the company in "your area", but maybe they didn't have success and will be looking for greener pastures next year.  Great story also!

I know the politically correct on this site don't care about compound kills so I'll omit the pictures of Jason and Bretts bulls.  Its a shame however,  because Brett's bull was a dandy..
I fail to see what political correctness has to do with following the rules.

Rules that have been in place since the inception of this website.

There are plenty of bow sites without rules and hence anarchy.

I think I'll take the rules.
The old order is passing. Swiftly receding into memory are the days of strong, earnest men who followed an atavistic yearning to pit their skills against wild animals.

Thanks everyone....  It was a great hunt.    My wife just made the first batch of pasta with garden tomatoes and some of my bull.   I am thankful for bounty of this great state of ours.....

Now its on to pointing dogs and whitetails....  Man I love the fall.

PS  Sorry for the poor choice of words Sunny Hill.  You're right.

In my defense, I'm a one camp'er and a mature bull taken with any bow is an accomplishment that you may not fully appreciate.   Also these guys are normally traditional archers.

But rules are rules. So don't sweat,  I'm on board.

Ahhhh.... Elk hunting....

Outstanding efforts mate. Well done.

The season is among us.  I think this is going to be a great year.

Good job and shot.
One thing about an Elk is the target area is large. The longer shot in the circumstances that you described is something that a good Hunter would do. And all's well that ends well.

Dadgum!  I missed this one last year.  Great story!  I hope you're all able to get on them again this year!

By the way, your "dink" would go on my wall!
