I am in the market for a new tree stand. I like the climber style prob is I am about 305# need something beefy! I have used a wal-mart style climber for 2 years and looking it over am finding some cracks in the steel frame. It has the cable straps and they are not that quite setting up. One more prob I hunt all public so my stand goes were I go. Thank you and not trying to strat arrgument just need info have a safe season
ARCHERY is a way of life!!! If you hate someone give them a traditional bow and they will spend money for years !!!!!!

I'm using a Loggy I weigh in at 170lbs great stand for the money. My dream stand is a Lone Wolf folks here have nothing but great things to say about them.

I have a tree walker. Light weight and easy to set up and carry. Here is there web site/  www.treewalkertreestands.com
it weighs 16 lbs and holds up to 350lbs. very comfortable when sitting a long time. Check it out I think you';; like it.

Lone Wolf Alpha Hang On

Loggy Bayou Pro Staff XL Hang On

Both awesome stands with the Loggy being slighly lighter and considerably more comfortable, not to mention less expensive.I have 5 Lone Wolf Hang Ons,plus both climbing models, and now 2 of the Loggy's which I absolutley love!!

My favorite tree stand is one that's already fallen over...natural ground blinds can work great and don't cost anything.
Unless you're the lead dog, the scenery never changes....

Summit Goliath.  I'm a big guy too, weigh about the same as you (and I've lost 60# lately).  It's quiet and comfortable for a big butt, and they really stand behind their products.

Well like Chad I really love my Summit Goliath.   I hunt mostly on the ground anymore though.
What was big was not the antlers, but the chance. What was full was not the meatpole but the memory of the hunt.    --Aldo Leopold

gotta love the Lone Wolf Climber, as far as hang on I like the old Loc-on LEM w/rope strap.

Wyhat Shawn Said. Lone Wolf Alpha climber is fat boy friendly too. Easy, quiet climbing, holds someone even bigger than me so I feel safe and a fairly comfortable seat.
Chippewa Wedge lock is unbeatable dfor a hanging stand especially where there is a risk of your stand being stolen.
