Getting my tags Wednesday. This will be my first full season of hunting.

Good luck, & safe hunting!

I'm hoping to get out and hunt a little.  I was planning on taking a few days to hunt early in the season in Shawnee NF, but alas, it looks like that will not come to pass.

I'll be hunting in the far northern edge of the state, smack in the middle.  I'm sure the deer will be trembling at the mere thought of my presence.  LOL!
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

I'll start off in Shawnee in Southern Region and may try a couple areas of private land down here also.

Looks like we got a wk of rain coming in..also I can't believe how bad the mosquitoes are this yr. Worse than I've ever seen them in Il. I'm having to use my Thermacell.

Would think after a yr of drought they wouldn't be a problem.

Region 3 for me! It's my youngest's first season and its going to be fun for sure!

Massac Co for me will be there Sun evening watching the deer come out and dreaming of starting the season the next morning.
They'll be no quitters till we bag us some critters!

I won't be hunting until mid October (big 50th birthday 2 week vacation with my wife starting Friday). I'm still working on getting a good place to hunt after months of asking around, but I have a lead or two. If not, I'll have to go public. I couldn't hunt due to a pinched nerve in my neck last year, so I'm chompin' at the bit. (most likely Rock Island County)
