For the guys who have hunted here, I went to the North place, to check the wind currents on a new ladder stand I put up. Just west of the rock crossing...

Got in before light, NW wind at 10 - 12 mph, almost sunup, he appeared...






And on he came eating beans, still green in this field...





Gotta get some coffee....  :D

And on he came closer and closer....





Til he was at 8 yards, then he turned slightly quartering away...  :cool:      :D

And?

 and what then.......

Well, I was hopin Ol Charlie Lamb would rise to the bait, but guess he ain't bitin..  :D  

Yeah, I let him walk, Momma say plenty meat in freezer, so I can be selective for awhile, I may regret this about Dec. , but what the heck!

Got about as much out of tskin his pic as takin him.    

If I'd stayed 10 more minutes on stand, I coulda shot a coyote! Now that I woulda taken!!

Great morning!  I too get as much or more satisfaction in letting them walk knowing I could have easily taken them if I wanted too!

You guys must see to many deer........That would be a fantastic trophy where I hunt......with a gun or a bow!
