I use them and they work great, I think they blend in alot better than most of my camo stuff, and they keep me alot warmer

I'll second your opinion. It is a quality product made and sold by a couple of fine folks with the best interest of bowhunting at heart.

Try it, you won't be disappointed.

I have a light weight and a heavier weight. I had turkeys at 10 yards two days ago, and could have shot a doe at 15 yards. Neither of them saw me. They work as well as camo, plus they are warm and quiet. I wish Teresa would make pants as well as her jackets. Great stuff.

I have an Asbell vest  in the "Evening Stand Brown" pattern, I have not found any camo pattern that works as well for me as this one does, plus its wool you can't beat it!

I wear the Asbell wool often while hunting. Just got back from an elk hunt in Idaho.  Here is a pic with an Asbell wool pullover.

Great stuff.  You can get it online too.

Modern camu looks good to our eye and other animals that see in color, but look at it at a distance.  You turn into a black blob.  That is why so many deer pic you up.  When you see in shades of grey, not a lot of difference in the moodern camo.  I have a evening stand brown pull over and I love it.  It just blends in in the fall woods even to turkeys and it is so comfortable.

I have various types of wool clothing but these are the bomdigity.  Plenty warm and when you are huffing it up the mountain and have to take it off, it compresses nicely and doesn't weigh a tn like the cloumbis stuff.  One of the best investments I have made to date. Be getting a coat in it in the next couple weeks.  God Bless

I too am a lover of plaid wool and agree on the opinion that most camo patterns "blob" at any distance, like most Real Tree and Mossy Oak. But there are a few "open camo" patterns like ASAT, Predator and Vertigo that are pretty incredible for concealment.

On a side note, anyone have a Johnsons Wool coat in either 413 (Gray/Red Muted Plaid) or 479 (Rust/Black/Tan Plaid)?

To me, that 479 looks great. Like a late Fall leafy forest floor, for ground hunting. The one in the bottom right. The 413 is the Gray/Red above it..

"Soft" light reflection from the wool makes it incredibly effective. I really like my Asbell AND my TwoTracks wool. Great for hunting, comfortable, warm, and quiet.

I rely on wool plaid....almost exclusively Asbell wool....as a hunting garment. I feel strongly that commercial camo, while effective, is unnecesary (and kinda ugly). Camoflauge is more than a pattern, it's a concept. Todd Smith and I just spent 10 days roaming the mountains in Idaho, both of us relying on shadow and common sense for concealment. We "lost" each other many times...neither of us wore a commercial camo garment (I did wear camo pants one day)

Muted colors, the non-reflective properties of wool, and the open pattern of a hunting plaid are all I require.

Check my site or  www.gfredasbell.com  for some examples of true hunting plaids.
