My first foray will be tomorrow morning Tim, a short two hour or so hunt before I have to leave for a golf tournament......while I think I have everything ready to go I will not be suprized at all if I find myself "stumbling and bumbling"!

Tim, my first couple times out I usually only have a bow, arrows and me. Talk about not prepared.    :dunno:

As my som recently said, "done there, been that."

Tim, just think, it can only get better. Good luck   :archer:

Oh we have all had those hunts I'm sure. I equate deer hunting to playing cards. When its going to go bad you can always tell pretty early. How many times have you thought this..."It just doesn't feel right"

On the other hand there are those days where..."It just feels right".

Some days in a tree are just bad, forget something, then drop something out, fumbling all day, one day I had all that and even cut myself (not badly) on a broadhead. Some days are safer to just pack it up and try again later. Like a bad day of shooting!

I find that the first morning i try to use my climber that i might just as start off by taking both sections and banging them together. No matter how hard i try to be quiet it still sounds like I'm  using the stand as some kind of new fangled rattling horns! Good luck to all of you other mumblers and stumblers.
