Sorry to hear about your loss.  I am sure he is in a better place and thanking you for your love and care

Bud B.

My most sincere condolences.

I share your experience having lost a loved one, in my case it was about three years before they actually passed on. Trying to care for them and remembering their life as it was before the illness helped, but still did not ease the loss once it came. It's heartbreaking indeed, but the care you gave showed the meaning of true unconditional love.

Peace has come and will come. I pray strength and ease of emotional pain to you and your family.

My God knows what it's like to loose a loved one...but HE is the resurrection and the life ! May the Lord see you through this storm and may he comfort you and your family during this time. Phil. 4:13

I have lost many loved ones but never a mother of father. Its hard and was closer to some than others. My gradmother passed years ago and I still miss her today more than ever. She loved me so much and I did the same. Time will heal you. Remember that God loves you and call upon him in times you need him. I will pray for you and your family. I pray you will be blessed for the things you done for him before his passing.God Bless.

Sam...you know how I feel so I'll skip some of what I have already said to  you. I think you will find that as you grieve various family members will take turns being strong, then sad. If your dad lived a good life then it wasn't in vain. The really sad deaths are of those whose lives held little meaning or value. Sounds like your dad's life was not a wasted one.

You and your family are in our prayers.

Just know that as time goes on the heart ache and painful memories will fade and be replaced with the happy ones. You'll be doing something and a sound or smell our something you see will remind you of him and you will smile. I pray the the time of painful memories is short and the smile memories come soon. God bless you and you family.

Going through this myself, and I think the biggest lesson is Patience. When I find that my Patience capacity has increased, It makes me think of the vast quantity that the Creator must have as He watches our daily inanities. I value every conversation that I ever had with my dad, even the annoying ones.

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
