Deer season opens here in Arkansas in the morning, All 3 of my sons were able to come in from college and we spent the afternoon getting everything fine tuned . Anticipation is high! Good Times! Hopefully pics to follow tomorrow!

Well, we toughed it out through the rain, everybody saw deer but nobody connected till this porker came in right before dark and my oldest slammed a 4-blade zwickey through the ribs with his 60# Mamba. The loins are on the grill as im typing!

Earliest opener ever!!! Maybe the rain will hold off in the morning.
You can only blow so much smoke until someone will want to see you make fire.

Wish you all the best of luck, hunt safe and shoot straight!!

Yep I've got all my stands set even though I won't be hunting tomorrow. I won't start until it cools off some in southern Arkansas where I hunt.

I have all my gear loaded in the truck, stands hung a month ago, it's after midnight and I am so giddy with the first hunt jitters that I can't sleep. Been seeing lots of deer and last Saturday I saw a very nice eight point walking through the saddle where I will be in the morning. With any wind out of the North or East I always see deer there and that's what is forecast for where I hunt.

Good luck guys. I am sitting just across the line in OK.
Kicked back in the recliner having coffee and  watching a doe and her fawns browse around in the yard. So they are up and moving around a bit this morning.

Judging by its head that thing has a bit of razorback in the bloodline.

Oct. 15 in Alabama, arriving at our farm on the 8th, place a few stands, set up some blinds and shoot, fish a little with my wife and wait.

Its going to be a good year, we got some nice bucks that made it through last season, going to be interesting to see how they look this year.
