I just picked up my new Ron LaClair Skinner from the post office last night!

Mr. LaClair, you can disregard my phone message where I was wondering if the knife had been shipped and would make it in time for my elk hunt....

Thank you sir for an excellent knife!

This is a very high quality knife and sheath and I sincerely hope to use it on an elk in the next couple weeks........

Please pass along my compliments to the Blacksmith.........

I have to agree with Russ.  They are a really nice knife and hold an edge real well.

Yes, they are great knives and an incredible value. Here's the link with pictures and story.

yep, that's it....only the one I have has lots of mojo you can't see in the pic......

My favorite by far from the LeClair lineup.

It is the only one of them I own though...my dad has taken a liking to it so I think I may give it to him for his birthday though.

In that case, well, the Traditional Archery Shoppe will be getting more business.

I'm glad you like your Skinner Russ. I know you'll be putting a lot of blood on that blade this fall so remember that it needs to be kept clean and lightly oiled. That high carbon steel holds a keen edge and it will serve you well.   :archer:

I hope to be using mine next week in Colorado...  Used it on 3 deer last year and it does a really nice job.  Holds an edge very well and is nicely balanced.
