Coming to San Diego next week, to see my new Grandchild. Looking for somewhere to shoot. Any Help would be most appreciated.

I don't live there now, but am working my way to get back there as my whole family lives out there now including son and his family.  There is a nice field range right in Balboa park that is open to the public.  It is a pretty spot and it is well kept.

Between Escondido and Valley Center is a beautiful range run by the Bear State Bowhunters.  Worth a try.

DWRay, Bearstate had to move back in 2009. We are up at Lake Henshaw now. Located by the camp grounds. We Sublet from the folks there. Check our website. I was going tomarrow but the tempature is going to be in the low 100's. To hot hot for me to hump those hills.
Gandgolf, the range at Balboa Park is run by the San D iego Archers. Check out their website for directions. They have a field range setup there all the time. Temps here have been warm and humid so you will be right at home.

Will Do was worrying about the cold..LOL.  

When i was working down there i found a club up north of San Diego in a little town called Alpine.
They set up a pretty good 3D course at the Gun club out there.

There is also a course set up at Balboa Park right next to the Zoo in down town San Diego. Good course and the club had some decent fellas... Kirk

I'll be visiting near Mira Vista. I hope to find some trad guys from a different part of the world. When I was stationed ther. In (Imperial Beach) we shot field archery in National City.
