Does anyone else go out to shoot a few arrows only to find themselves still shooting hours later. I'm not sure I would've came in at all if it hadn't gotten dark.

The same happens when I go out to drink one or two beers.

Yep.  I'll go out for just a couple or three arrows.  That turns into a couple or three rounds.  That, in turn, ends up being a couple or three hours.
That's what's great about this sport.  Archery is fun again!

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.

That was my last two hours!! Went out to shoot in a new string and ended up adding beaver puffs and shooting all evening.   :biglaugh:

Sometimes I keep shooting after dark with just a light on the target.  Really improves your instinctive shooting when you ave to focus on the target because you can't see the bow or the arrow!

I always tell myself I'll only shoot 20 arrows...2 hrs later. Oh well, as mentioned above, archery is fun again.

It's like pringles (or little debbies), once you start you can't stop!!

Did it today! Told my wife was going out to shoot for 20-30 minutes or so. Made it back in 1.5 hours later.

I was thinking this same thing tonight!

My wife wasn't feeling well and took a nap after work.  I said I was going to head up the hill and shoot a few arrows; then, I'd make dinner.

We had a late dinner!

All the time!
I tell myself this is the last round of arrows... Then just one more... Then just one more. Ends up being awfully hard to shoot for under an hour unless the light fades too much to see my target!

Gentlemen you can't fight in here, this is the war room.

all the time..
I was at a 3D this summer and noticed that the practice area always had trad guys in it shooting... the compound folks would go in to adjust a sight or tighten a set screw then leave. In the last of possible light at the end of the day the trad guys were still having fun with their bows and arrows..
too much fun
