I got my Zipper SXT Recurve bloody yesterday with a nice doe. It was a hot afternoon with a swirling wind, but I went and got in a tree anyway. Fortunately, as the afternoon went on the thermals started to rise. First a little spike came in and then she came in and feed all around me, but was head on most of the time. The Spike had me penned down at 7-8 yards so I thought I would never get my bow off of the hanger.  I kept inching slowly toward my bow and I was at last able to get my Zipper in my hand. Now it was just a waiting game, trying to get the right angle for a shot. She finally turned enough for me to draw my bow. The spike saw me starting to draw, but I just kept gradually easing the bow back until my nose was on my feather and my first finger was firmly in the corner of my mouth. I was burning a hole behind her shoulder with my eyes and I pulled through my release. The result was that I put a 165 Landshark through the top of her lungs; she went about 75 yards and I heard her fall.  It was an amazing sight to see my arrow disappear through her ribs; the shot was a little high but it was a quick death for her. What a way to start the season.

By the way this hunt will be included on a Traditional Hunting DVD that I am currently working on putting together.

Doesn't look alittle high to me.  Looks about right judging from the results.  Congrats and God Bless
