Getting ready for my 1st bear hunt.Me and two other guys set a stand and bait barrel.Been getting trail cam pictures of 3 bears,1 large and two smaller.
Got the Widow all set. Goldtip arrows with SteelForce BHs.
I have the stand for the next 2 days.

I remember my first bear hunt. Hunt I will never forget. Very addictive. Take your time and wait for that perfect shot. I like a quartering away shot. Vitals are forward on those bears. Good luck and hit em on the hairy side. Lol lawman

Thanks guys.Didn't see any bears. When the sun came up I did have a coyote come running down the hill.He stopped about 50 yards turned and ran back up the hill. I have the stand tomorrow then I don't get it again til Monday.That's the only thing bad about sharing with two other guys.
Out of the three of us I am the only one with a recurve. I am trying to turn them on to the trad bow.

Good luck your hunt, filmed a good friend here in Michigan's U P get his first traditional bear with a steel force about 4 years ago, was still shaving sharp after being stuck in the off side shoulder!  All the best to you in your hunt and hopefully you can bring a couple more guys over to the trad side.

Good luck. I have taken 2 trad bears here in NY. Took the second one with a phathead 225 & perfect passthrough. Lots of pictures with big smiles!!
