I bare shaft tuned my bow with a beman 400 with the HIT inserts cut@ 29.675" and it seemed to like the 125g field pionts.  I am shooting 58 @ 27.5".  I put on three broadheads and three field tips and started shooting. My 125g steelforce phatheads were constantly shooting low and left. I tried some 160g eskimos and they were shooting low but center?  I am thinking about heading out and buying some point weights so I can shoot my phatheads but I was wondering if you all had any suggestions before I did so.  If I am missing something please let me know!

 Thanks,
Thad

So, your bareshaft was flying perfect and center?

Then, you shot field points and broadheads with feathers and your field points were perfect and your broadheads were off?

When you tune your arrows bare shaft, and then fletch them, the feathers will stiffen your shaft, so to remedy the extra stiffness, you will need to move to a heavier tip. That's why when you went to the 160 grain BH they centered up.

As far as them shooting low, that is an aiming problem. The heavier tip will close your gap a bit, if your a gap shooter. Either way, your going to have to shoot a tad higher with the 160gr than the 125gr.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

It sounds like your a little stiff with the 125 grain heads and your nock point is to high.
