I had a great time shooting (and was humbled) at Horse Creek today. I got to shoot with msome good buddies and I also got to meet someone that I have "known" from tradgang for a number of years, but never crossed paths with before.

After years of talking to Robert Carter on the internet I finally got to meet him.

He is a great guy as advertised, but it was a costly encounter.  Here is Rick Connell making payment for the shooting lessons we got...

I was sick, didn't get much sleep last night, shot twenty targets before the sixty I shot with him, had a dried up contact lens in my right eye, and had a rock in my left shoe, but other than that he beat me fair and square.

Another satisfying encounter with a tradgang contact.  That makes six this summer alone.

Cool!  I have also communicated with RC a number of times thru the years and been entertained/educated by his posts many times but have yet to have the pleasure of meeting him in person.  Maybe one day.

Man, that's a rowdy looking crew! Sounds like y'all had a great time. Can you talk Robert into coming down to TBOF shoot in the spring?

I didn't recognize him without a half-dozen dead hogs in the photo. I'm actually surprised his feral hog population hasn't migrated north out of fear.  :)

Looks like a great day!

I think RC might be one of those guys that'll "shoot OK" till ya get your money out, then kiss it good bye.

Yeah, don't believe Robert when he says he can' t shoot. He is a great guy. I am glad you got to meet him.

Bill Turner

Heck! I didn't think they would let RC out of the Georgia swamps this time of year. That snake that struck at him a while back must have really got his attention. RC is still high on my list to share a campfire with. As for his shooting ability, he kills far to much stuff to be anything but good. Thanks for sharing my man.

Ray Hammond

If you think RC can shoot you oughta see Biggie- he taught Robert everything he knows about shootin'   ;)
