Getting some stone points made up. Getting ready for season. May there be a few deer taken with these this year. These puppies are scary sharp. got little cuts all over the back of my hand from testing for sharpness! Someday I will stop using my own hide as a gauge. But then at least I know how sharp they really are! -Ryan

sweet.  I am looking forward to using some this year myself.

Amazing!!! Here in New Mexico our hunting proclamation says we have to have a metal cutting edge on all heads.... Do you think if I wrapped one of your heads in some aluminum foil it would pass?   :dunno:

cool.  what is the average weight of the points you use?

Those are really nice looking points. Good luck!

thanks guys.   I dont think the tin foil would work!  might try it though.

gringol- I prefer points between 40 - 60 grains.  they are about the size of a bear greenie.. little shorter sometimes.  Stone just isnt as dense as steel. I feel physical size is far more important with stone than actual weight! nothin penetrates worse than a clunky ol stone point!

Those are good looking points.... I've often wondered how you can get enough FOC for decent arrow flight using lighter weight stone points. Do you use footed shafts to get your forward weight? or just use use a lighter weight tapered shaft?

What's the secret bro?

I've got a bow I'm building coming up this month to accommodate the use of primitive arrows in the 44@28" range and I'm wondering about shelf cut out depth.  kirk

Nice work!!!!!!

Good luck this season with them!
