Went out this morning and shot great for about 20-30 shots and then started coming un-glued.  I hung it up for the day.  I feel better knowing yesterday I was just in a "funk" and today I was back to shooting to my average groups.

I'm a relative newbie, but I've noticed that the slightest distraction will mess you up.  I was shooting with my dad yesterday.  Was shooting really well, especially since I usually shoot at 15 yards and was shooting at 20 because that's where he usually shoots his compound from.  My wife walked over and asked my dad a questions while I was drawing to shoot.  Draw felt good, release felt good, arrow missed entire target.  The next two with nobody talking behind me were within 3 inches of aiming point.

That happens from time to time. I just put the bow down for a while. A few days off can work wonders. Practice the shot mentally during the "down time".

Heard this line in a movie and applied it to shooting a bow and hunting... "Don't want it to happen. Don't wait for it to happen. Just let it happen."

Maybe you are going too fast. Remember, a compound bow and a trad bow are like night and day. Give things time and it will come together for you. Now, go read all the books and watch all the dvd's ya can, but you must put what you have (learned) into practice. It's 95% in your head.

Good Luck!
