What is the longest that you have shot or hunted with the same bow?

magnus

Early 70's K-mag blue stripe. Hunted that bow exclusively for about 12 years or so. Still got it and love it.

about a year. lol had so many who could stick with just one. Now I have 4 and only 3 are shootable and 2 haven't seen deer blood so I'll be sticking with this one for a long while. ONLY REASON MAGNUS STAYS WITH HIS SO LONG IS ITS SO HARD TO FIND BOWS THAT SHOOT ON THE WRONG SIDE. LOL

Wes wallace td mentor for about the last 14 years. It was my first real bow and i was 18 when i bought it.  i just traded it a few months ago. It was a 60#er and was really giving my draw elbow fits. Im shooting a 50# centaur carbon elite now and I will likely shoot it a long time. Im not a guy who has to keep switching bows every month.  (Grin)

Don't remember exactly what year I bought it but I've been shooting my Bamboo Longhunter for over 25 years.I'm getting ready to sand and spray it this week. An overdue cosmetic restoration that I've been putting off for over a year. It shoots so well that though I may go days without shooting it just the thought of having to wait a few days keeps me putting off the spraying.

Im gonna do my best to get there Mike, great shoot and a good time.

Been doing most of my hunting with an ACS bow, not necessarily the same one, for the past half-dozen years or so.  Shot Bighorn recurves for a dozen or so years in the late 80s through the 90s.  Shot GN Critter Gitters for a fair number of years after that.  I usually find myself with a different small cadre of similar bows every three to five years or so.  Liking the ACSs though.  May be a while before something else creeps to the top of my list.

Red Beastmaster

I usually pick a bow on Labor Day and stick with it 'til deer season ends 2nd week of Nov. That's about 10 weeks. Sometimes I don't last that long and switch around the end of Oct.

I like the idea of only shooting one bow. My problem is I have four "favorite" bows.

The longest I have shot a bow or hunted with one was with my 48# at my then draw length longbow a friend of mine made for me. I now alternate between my two 55# Tomahawks.

Got my Bighorn in July of '84 and still shoot it and hunt with it.  I do use other bows also, but if you meant shoot or hunt exclusively then it would be 13 years with it.

I'm not sure what your question means. Are you looking for an exclusive or consecutive answer or maybe how long has a person had a bow and still shoots or hunts it on a somewhat regular basis?

I bought a 67 1/2 Bear SK in 1990 still have it and still shoot it but never hunted it, because for $25 I didn't feel it was worthy enough. Also, in 1990 I bought a new Bear CKTD and hunted it for 15 years. Since then I have gotten a collectors bug and now have 16 bows of all kinds.

The funny part is recently, I have put a FF string on the old SK and I don't have anything I would consider better.

I was given a 55# Martin Mamba for Christmas when I was 15, I am now 41 and still use it exclusively. Admittedly, there were some years that work/family did not allow much bow time. I am tryin to make up for it now tho. Findin TG has helped keep the itch to shoot itchin!

I have the first bow I ever owned. So about 35 years. It's just an old soild fiber glass longbow at about 25lbs but, it still gets shot ever now and then.

The 2 in my signature are it for me.  I started in trad archery with the PMA (recurve) in 2006, it was a great bow to start with, and I fully intend to keep it until I am unable to shoot it anymore.  I will be alternating between the two this season, day-to-day.

I got my Silvertip last November and haven't even looked at another bow, and plan on shooting this one till I can't pull it back anymore.

I'd like to see what Tim would say on this...my guess its 2 months    :biglaugh:

Well, bought my Ben Pearson back in 1973, hunted with it a little back then, killed my first deer with it in 1996 but I spined it and that really did tear me up, so I switched to a wheelie ( what a mistake ) switched back to Trad 4 years ago.

Don't know if that counts or not.

Since 2005 with a Hill Wesley Special.  I still have the little Ben Pearson recurve that was my first bow bought in 1969, but it doesn't get much action any more.
