I would not say that is a "standard" test... Some bowyers like to know at what point a bow will break but, it takes a different level of IQ to want to be that close to a breaking bow. Buddy of mine was testing the breaking point of a bow on a tillering tree with a rope and pulley, when that bow broke it chipped a nice size piece of concrete...

Black Widow used to have a video of Bill Bonner doing that with one of their bows years ago.

I think,it's a "publicity" for the Bearpaw bows.

THIS IS NOT BOW BEARPAW, this man who tested it IS BOWMAKER

Hermon is right watched the same thing from BW years ago.

I just went downstairs to test all of my bows this way, anyone need a toothpick?
