BUCKY

Going to do some scouting tomorrow on the public land that I hunt. There are alot of spots I want to check out. I'm bringing the climber to see if I need to do some trimming. Anybody else going to pound the ground? I'm going to take alot of pics to.

Sam McMichael

I don't scout a whole lot since I go to my property often throughout the year. This keeps me informed on deer movement. However, I do plan to go this weekend and check the stands and make any needed repairs.

I'll be going out to move and check a game cam, check trails to ground blind and stand locations so I can find them in the dark.  I'll check for sign but we don't have trails and concentrating food sources like some areas.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Went out scouting today. Here's some pictures of the woods we hunt.

It felt good to get out for a few hours today Bucky! Glad I brought the new Summit Open Shot. It took some getting used to compared to the Old Loggy. Better get to know it today than opening day morning in the dark! We saw deer, plenty of sign, acorns, corn fields, and tons of mushrooms. These Jersey deer love their mushrooms.

I've been studying aerials and topo maps for months and will be going out tomorrow with my son to check some options.
Might just be moving some stands if visual looks promising.
Never wait too long!

Larry that Oak tree I'm in is surrounded by a huge pine.Natural cover and cover scent. It's 15 yards off that lower game trail.

Larry will you be fit, healthy, and strong enough  enough to get out this season? How's the operation healing?

Recurve50 LBS

Tom I'm ready to go. I just am not at full speed yet and know my limitations. I have one week of work under my belt and I'm doing fine so far. Only got sore on Friday and had to slow down a bit.

Going back to working my regular shift this afternoon. Stop in to see me.

Glad to hear that Larry. I'm busier than a hooker at fleet week. Between family matters and such. I want for us to get our butts out and do some serious scouting soon though..... Times marching on and the seasons just around the corner!Want to find some new out of the way places around Wild Cat Too.
