Any shooters lay off shooting in the winter months? I don't care much for indoor shooting, and I don't have a backyard to step out into, so I don't shoot again till spring. Is trad shooting like "riding a bike" and it pretty much comes right back to you, or do most people lose quite a bit(form, aiming, etc).   :coffee:

I shoot an indoor winter league that is 12 weeks long. I also shoot as much Techno-Hunt as I can afford. Winter can be tough.I will shoot indoors over nothing. Just set up a 20 yarder with a nice wide, white, backstop and shoot off the back porch when the snow gets deep. YA'JUST GOTTA'SHOOT OR YOU'LL GO BONKERS!!    rat'

I shoot year round.
First, it's fun, and my buddies and I enjoy getting together now and then in January (bunny hunts) and February thru September (3D shoots)
Second, when you're over 50, you'd better keep your muscles in shape.  Otherwise, it's shoulder or elbow problems.

Year round.  Shoot in the basement if it is too miserable out.  I can't afford to have to start over and re-build back muscles, etc. Beside, I'm addicted!

Year round in Northern BC. I'm not much for indoor either, I usually just go out and face the cold for 15-20 minutes, then come in a defrost the fingers for awhile

I shoot year round as well. I find that I can't go for more than about a week without shooting (some vacations you just can't take a bow). If I don't shoot everyday my form tends to get a little sloppy. However, it doesn't take but about 3 shot to get back into the swing of things.

Year round too.  Like folks in Georgia, hogs are open year round.

Year round. If it's too cold I shoot down in the basement.

I shoot year around too. In the winter months it may be dark when I get home from work so I may miss a few days a week during that time of year.

Year round too.  I have to see the flight of an arrow on a regular basis.  I have a bale in the yard and shoot there most of the time, but I belong to an archery club about 5 miles away with an outdoor course and an indoor range.  We have an indoor traditional league each winter too.

I shoot year round, but I find myself shooting less after Christmas.....January and February....when the weather is crummy. I still hunt and chase rabbits with my bows then, but I do less before work/after work backyard stuff.

When do i shoot the most? Right now. My gear is right here in the living room now, and I grab it and walk outside several times a day. I may be shooting 200 arrows a day right now.
