I don't want anything to make the animals come to me, whether it is bait, scent, decoys, etc. I also don't want to pay a guide who tells me where to go when.  For me the satisfaction of hunting comes from figuring out where animals will be by thier own free will, and then using my skills to be there at the same time with out  being detected.  After a successful hunt, I want to know I did it. I do not want to be left thinking "without ****, I would of never had a chance at that animal" becuase I do not believe it is my accomplishment then.

Although, if a friend says "come over and hunt my place with me", it becomes a shared accomplishement that has substantial value in itself.  Everyone needs to do a little of this to learn or pass along thier craft.

My hunting buddy was proud to show me the two "deer view mirrors" he picked up at sportsmans warehouse.  He got 2.  These little babies are basically an automotive rear view mirror on a snake like flexible mount with a clip.  So, you can clip on your deer stand and see behind you.  I told him he can clip one to each belt while stalking too!-

As I guess I must live in a cave here in Kansas, I had no I idea what a 'butt out tool" was.  Now, thanks to the wonders of the internet and Yahoo, I now know what I have been missing!!!      Only problem is that it does not come in camo!  Maybe a little Realtree would up their sales.
