Has anyone here used the Lansky TUNSTEN CARBIDE sharpener? Just happened to un into it on FLEABAY,didn`t know it existed.

I have not used that lansky but have used th one with the diamond hones. I now use a KME and feel that the rod guide is much better on the KME then on the lansky. It holds a more consistent angle.

I used to use a Lansky, but I got a KME for my birthday. (Handed the catalog with the circled items to Mockingbird, who would have asked me to wrap it if he didn't know about my right hook.)

I got the one with the oil stones, and love it. The frustration factors of Lansky's rod unscrewing from the stone and stones not staying glued to their bases are nonissues with the KME.

I too will vote for the KME if you want the top of the line sharpening jig.

KME seems like the way to go.  I recently acquired a Block system and I can not seem to get an edge at all with it!

I have to agree with every one.  Before, I couldn't sharpen anything at all.  I finally picked up a KME sharpener and have been having very good results, especialy with knives.  My broadheads are sharper than ever, too.  Good stuff.

It looks like you are talking about a pull through type carbide sharpener. They all work just about the same. Main difference would be size and cost.

Handy for in field sharpening. For home or camp I agree with the KME suggestions.
