So I was talkin to Kirk awhile back, and I says listen, I've got a 27" draw, a bad shoulder, 45-46lbs is max for me to really enjoy a bow, and I like a really fast ,smooth stable bow, do you make anything that can fit that bill?

well, needless to say, not only does he make a pretty darn nice bow, he's quite the salesman also

x2, or are you just being kind to doc nock?
shoot straight shoot often

so he says he's confident that he can meet those requirements, we talk about limb options, and I say give me the fastest limbs you make. then he sends me some pics of various risers, one in particular stood out to me and I tell him I like the looks of that one, how much is it? he says sorry that's my personal bow, but I've still got the sister to it in block form, so I opt for it. here's a couple pics of it all finished up. wenge with bubinga flair

:bigsmyl:   Looking forward to more pics. Must be hard for Kirk to build stock bows when all that time goes into the custom fit and grip.

:campfire:     :coffee:  So how is it shooting.....?
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

one of the things that really make or break a bow for most of us is the grip, well when I heard Kirk was going to be at denton, figured it would be worth the trip to check out some of his grips first hand, found two that I liked but both needed a little work to be just right for me, Kirk took some notes, and the grip is great! here's a pic of the limb butts and tips

in just a little bit I'll give ya my thoughts on my overall impressions of the bow.

Looks like a satin finish? Skins over carbon? Nice touch, that carbon can be U-G-L-Y, at any speed.

Nice bow. Congratulations to you Larry and to the bowyer. Good choices made there.

God bless you, Steve
