It's a "Three-peat" for Cade at Muzzy!!!

So proud of my boy!!

You might remember, Cade had won the youth division the last 2 yrs. at the Muzzy shoot.  

After winning last year, he figured that even though he was age eligible to shoot in the youth division again this year...he wanted a new challenge and really wanted to go out on the regular course...so on the way home last year it was decided that he would move up to the juniors.

Well guess what....he won the juniors and had an absolute blast doing it!

They shot through a thunderstorm the first round and when he came back he was smiling ear to ear!!

I have a lot more pix of Muzzy to list in the trad events forum....but here's a handful as a tribute to my "champ"....

He was shooting his Leon Stewart longbow that was gifted to him by "Big Ed" earlier this year. Awesome little 48" bow, that, at Cade's draw length is about 37#'s and is a rocket launcher...thanx again buddy!!

For arrows, he was shooting .800 spine Carbon Express Predator shafts we got from Tim at Braveheart Archery. Great carbon shafts for light draw wiehgts and short draw lengths and Tim is awesome to deal with!

A huge congratulations!!!  What an accomplishment.  Maybe someday with practice I'll be able to shoot as well as Cade.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Congrats Cade and also to you Guru for raising him on a good path.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.
